Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to method and apparatus for IAB node integration. According to some embodiments of the disclosure, a first centralized unit (CU) may: establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a network node; and transmit, to a second CU, information associated with the network node to facilitate an F1 connection setup between the network node and the second CU.

A first centralized unit (CU), comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the first CU to:
- establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a network node;
- and
- transmit, to a second CU, information associated with the network node to facilitate an F1 connection setup between the network node and the second CU.

- at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the network node to:
- establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a first centralized unit (CU);

- set up an F1 connection with a second CU during an initial access of the network node to a network or during a migration of the network node from the first CU to the second CU.
