Resource allocation for sidelink positioning group

A method performed by a User Equipment (UE), the method comprising:

• receiving a first request message to perform group-assisted sidelink (SL) positioning;
• transmitting a second request message for resource allocation for SL positioning for a SL positioning group;
• receiving a response message comprising the resource allocation for SL positioning for the SL positioning group;
• and
• performing group-assisted SL positioning using the resource allocation.

A base station for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the base station to:
• receive a request message for resource allocation for SL positioning for a SL positioning group;
• determine the resource allocation for SL positioning for the SL positioning group in response to the received request message;
• and
• transmit a response message comprising the resource allocation for SL positioning for the SL positioning group.

A method at a base station, the method comprising:

• receive a request message for resource allocation for SL positioning for a SL positioning group;
• determine the resource allocation for SL positioning for the SL positioning group in response to the received request message;
• and
• transmit a response message comprising the resource allocation for SL positioning for the SL positioning group.
