Abstract
A method of using energy information in a network and devices for performing the same are provided. The method includes collecting first user equipment (UE)-related energy consumption information from operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM), collecting second UE-related energy consumption information from a fifth generation core (5GC) network function (NF), and calculating energy consumption information in a unit of required granularities based on the first UE-related energy consumption information and the second UE-related energy consumption information.

A method of using energy information in a network, the method comprising:
- collecting first user equipment (UE)-related energy consumption information from operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM);
- collecting second UE-related energy consumption information from a fifth generation core (5GC) network function (NF);
- and
- calculating energy consumption information in a unit of required granularities based on the first UE-related energy consumption information and the second UE-related energy consumption information.
A device for using energy information in a network, the device comprising:
- at least one processor including processing circuitry;
- and
- memory storing instructions,
- wherein the instructions, when executed individually or collectively by the at least one processor, cause the device to:
- collect first user equipment (UE)-related energy consumption information from operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM),
- collect second UE-related energy consumption information from a fifth generation core (5GC) network function (NF), and
- calculate energy consumption information in a unit of required granularities based on the first UE-related energy consumption information and the second UE-related energy consumption information.
