The solid electrolyte material contains a sulfide solid electrolyte containing a lithium element, a sulfur element, and a phosphorus element, and an organic compound. The organic compound has two or more benzene rings, and a melting point of the organic compound is 82° C. or lower.

A solid electrolyte material that contains a sulfide solid electrolyte containing a lithium element, a sulfur element, and a phosphorus element, and an organic compound, wherein:
- the organic compound has two or more benzene rings;
- and
- a melting point of the organic compound is 82° C. or lower.
