Abstract

A disclosed positive electrode is a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode mixture layer. The positive electrode mixture layer contains a positive-electrode active material, a conductive material, a fluorine-containing polymer, and a dispersant. The positive-electrode active material includes a composite oxide represented by a composition formula LiyNixM(1-x)O2-δ (where x, y, and δ satisfy 0.6≤x≤1, 0<y≤1.2, and 0≤δ≤0.05, and M includes at least one element selected from the group consisting of Co, Mn, Al, Fe, Ti, Sr, Ca, and B). The conductive material includes a carbon material. The dispersant includes nitrile group-containing rubber. The fluorine-containing polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 1,000,000 or more.
