Dental collaboration cloud

A cloud computing infrastructure, comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• a processor coupled to the memory and configured to provide dental collaboration according to a process that includes:
• configuring a unique VPPN for each of a plurality of dental practices, wherein each VPPN grants access rights to a unique set of users;
• providing an adaptable integration framework (AIF) configured to provide read and write capabilities to disparate practice management systems utilized by the plurality of dental practices;
• communicating dental practice data with client applications via a universal dental interface (UDI), wherein the dental practice data include patient records obtained from the disparate practice management systems, and wherein the UDI includes a system agnostic charting interface, a system agnostic notes interface, a system agnostic periodontics interface, and a system agnostic imaging interface;
• and
• sharing information among the unique set of users of an associated VPPN via a collaboration interface within the UDI.

A method of providing dental collaboration, comprising:

• configuring a unique VPPN for each of a plurality of dental practices, wherein each VPPN grants access rights to a unique set of users;
• providing an adaptable integration framework (AIF) configured to provide read and write capabilities to disparate practice management systems utilized by the plurality of dental practices;
• communicating dental practice data with client applications via a universal dental interface (UDI), wherein the dental practice data include patient records obtained from the disparate practice management systems, and wherein the UDI includes a system agnostic charting interface, a system agnostic notes interface, a system agnostic periodontics interface, and a system agnostic imaging interface;
• and
• sharing information among the unique set of users of an associated VPPN via a collaboration interface within the UDI.
