The present disclosure relates to compositions including a UV absorbing system including at least one physical ultraviolet (UV)-attenuating material, trihydroxystearin, and at least one fatty acid oil for inhibiting trihydroxystearin crystallization, as well as to methods of making and using such compositions.

A composition comprising at least one physical ultraviolet (UV)-attenuating material, preferably at least one metal oxide, preferably at least one metal oxide selected from oxides of titanium, chromium, zinc, tin, alumina, cerium, and/or iron;
- trihydroxystearin, and at least one fatty acid oil for inhibiting trihydroxystearin crystallization.
