A system for treating mal-coaptation of a heart valve, the heart valve having an annulus, the system comprising:
- a coaptation assistance element comprising:
- a body comprising a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, an inferior edge, and a superior edge,
- an annular hub spaced inward from each of the first lateral edge, the second lateral edge, the inferior edge, and the superior edge;
- and
- a plurality of struts extending outward from the annular hub, the plurality of struts comprising at least a first strut and a second strut;
- and
- an anchor configured to be rotated independently of the annular hub.
A system for treating mal-coaptation of a heart valve, the heart valve having an annulus, the system comprising:
- a coaptation assistance element comprising:
- a body comprising a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, an inferior edge, and a superior edge,
- an annular hub spaced inward from each of the first lateral edge, the second lateral edge, the inferior edge, and the superior edge;
- and
- a plurality of struts, wherein at least one strut of the plurality of struts extends to the first lateral edge, wherein at least one strut of the plurality of struts extends to the second lateral edge, wherein at least one strut of the plurality of struts extends to the inferior edge, and wherein at least one strut of the plurality of struts extends to the superior edge, and
- an anchor configured to engage the annulus of the heart valve at a first target location.
A system for treating mal-coaptation of a heart valve, the heart valve having an annulus, the system comprising:
- a coaptation assistance element comprising:
- a body comprising a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, an inferior edge, and a superior edge,
- an annular hub spaced inward from each of the first lateral edge, the second lateral edge, the inferior edge, and the superior edge;
- and
- a plurality of struts spaced around the annular hub and extending outward from the annular hub;
- an anchor captive within the annular hub.
