Control method and apparatus, chip, network device, and communication system

A chip, wherein the chip comprises a processor and a power supply circuit, wherein the power supply circuit is configured to supply power to the processor, and the processor is configured to:

• obtain an energy saving strategy of the network device, wherein the energy saving strategy indicates a condition for enabling or disabling a port or a lane corresponding to the port in the network device;
• obtain performance data of the network device, wherein the performance data indicates a running feature of the port in the network device in a current period;
• and
• adjust, according to the energy saving strategy and the performance data, a status of the port or the lane corresponding to the port, wherein the status comprises enabled or disabled.

A network device, wherein the network device comprises a memory and a processor, the memory is configured to store a group of computer instructions, and the processor is coupled to the one or more memories and configured to execute the instructions to cause the network device to:

• obtain an energy saving strategy of the network device, wherein the energy saving strategy indicates a condition for enabling or disabling a port or a lane corresponding to the port in the network device;
• obtain performance data of the network device, wherein the performance data indicates a running feature of the port in the network device in a current period;
• and
• adjust, according to the energy saving strategy and the performance data, a status of the port or the lane corresponding to the port, wherein the status comprises enabled or disabled.
