A battery, comprising:

• a positive electrode plate;
• a separator;
• and
• a negative electrode plate, which are stacked,
• wherein the separator comprises a first region, which is a region, exceeding the positive electrode plate, of the separator in a width direction of the separator;
• the separator comprises a base film, which is provided with an adhesive layer at least on a side close to the positive electrode plate;
• in the width direction of the separator, the separator further comprises a second region located between the positive and negative electrode plates;
• and
• a protruding height of the adhesive layer in the first region is denoted as X μm, and the protruding height of the adhesive layer in the second region is denoted as Y μm;
• the battery further comprises an electrolyte comprising a first solvent having a dielectric constant of ≤10 and a first additive having a dielectric constant of ≤10;
• based on a total mass of the electrolyte, a mass percentage of the first solvent is denoted as A, and a mass percentage of the first additive is denoted as B;
• and
• X, Y, a, and b satisfy:
• 3≤(a+b)/(X/Y)≤60.
