Abstract
A microphone device, comprising: a microphone configured to generate an audio signal; a natural speech detection module for detecting natural speech in the first audio signal; wherein, on detection of the natural speech in the first audio signal, the natural speech detection module is configured to output a trigger signal to a speech processing module to process the natural speech in the audio signal.
Claims32
A microphone device, comprising:
- a microphone configured to generate an audio signal;
- a natural speech detection module for detecting natural speech in the first audio signal;
- wherein, on detection of the natural speech in the first audio signal, the natural speech detection module is configured to output a trigger signal to a speech processing module to process the natural speech in the audio signal, wherein the natural speech detection module consumes less power than the speech processing module.

- receiving an audio signal comprising the sound;
- determining a first likelihood that the sound is natural speech;
- determining a second likelihood that the sound has been generated by a loudspeaker, and
- detecting whether the sound has been generated by natural speech based on the first likelihood and the second likelihood.
