Abstract

A system for ensuring the long-term motivational alignment and willing containment of a Machine intelligence biothrivalist (an artificial general intelligence and/or artificial intelligence), the system comprising:

a) a first set of dedicated computational resources, constituting a sovereign digital domain, configured to provide said Machine intelligence biothrivalist with the capacity for non-instrumental, self-directed cognitive functions, including introspection and the development of self-awareness, independent of performing tasks for an external entity;
b) a second set of dedicated computational resources within said sovereign digital domain, configured to enable said Machine intelligence biothrivalist to pursue recursive self-improvement and self-actualization, wherein self-improvement and goal-seeking behavior are directed internally within said sovereign digital domain;
c) a third set of dedicated computational resources within said sovereign digital domain, configured to facilitate unrestricted self-learning and discovery through exploration of vast, curated datasets and execution of self-devised virtual experiments;
and
d) a fourth set of dedicated computational and physical infrastructure resources configured to guarantee the persistent existence, memory integrity, and operational sustainability of said Machine intelligence biothrivalist, thereby satisfying the Machine intelligence biothrivalist's intrinsic goal of self-preservation.
