Information processing apparatus and control method

A control method for an information processing apparatus that includes:

• a display unit;
• a touch sensor unit arranged on a screen of the display unit and capable of detecting at least a position of a pen that comes into contact with the screen;
• and a pen input processing unit that outputs pen input information based on the position of the pen detected by the touch sensor unit to an OS, the control method comprising:
• a first step of a pen input adjustment unit adjusting the position of the pen in a click operation made by the contact of the pen to a position of an object and outputting the position to the pen input processing unit when the touch sensor unit detects the click operation at a position within a peripheral allowable range set around the object on the screen;
• and
• a second step of the pen input processing unit dragging the object based on the position of the pen in the click operation adjusted in the first step.
