1-16. (canceled)
A method of treating a disease in which inhibition of IRAK4 is beneficial, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a compound of formula (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
- wherein:
- R1 is selected from
- R2 is selected from
- R3 and R4 are each independently selected from H, optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl and optionally substituted C3-C6 cycloalkyl;
- Y is N(CH3)C(O)CH3, N(RS)C(O)CH3, N(CH3)C(O)R6, N(RS)C(O)R6, C(O)N(CH3)2 or a 5-membered N-heterocycle;
- and Z is H or optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl;
- or alternatively
- Y and Z combine to form an optionally substituted 4-, 5- or 6-membered ring;
- X is selected from OR7 and NR8R9;
- R5 is selected from H, optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl and optionally substituted C3-C6 cycloalkyl;
- R6 is selected from optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl, optionally substituted C3-C6 cycloalkyl and optionally substituted 5- or 6-membered saturated N-heterocycle;
- R7 is an optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C6 cycloalkyl group or 4-, 5- or 6-membered ring containing a heteroatom selected from O and N;
- R8 and R9 are independently selected from H and optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl, or together form an optionally substituted C3-C6 cycloalkyl or an optionally substituted 4-, 5- or 6-membered ring containing a heteroatom selected from O and N;
- wherein the optional substituents of Z, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 and R9, when present, are independently selected from OH, C1-C3 alkyl, C1-C3 alkoxy, C(O)CH3, amino, NHCH3, N(CH3)2, F or Cl.
