Abstract
A solution for monitoring low power receiver signal in RRC_INACTIVE state is provided. The solution provides means to switch between low power receiver and normal receiver based on low power receiver signal QCLed with SSB. With this solution, the terminal stays in low power state as much as possible while keeping connectivity with the network that results in reduced battery power consumption.
Claims10
A method performed by a terminal, the method comprising:
- receiving system information, the system information comprising:
- a bit string related to Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) burst;
- one or more parameters related to offset to Low Power-Wake Up Signal (LP-WUS) Occasion;
- a parameter related to the number of Paging Occasions (POs);
- and
- a parameter related to the number of Paging Frames (PFs);
- determining a specific PF;
- determining a specific LP-WUS Occasion (LO) based on the specific PF and the one or more parameters related to offset to LO;
- monitoring at least one LP-WUS Monitoring Occasion (LMO) of the specific LO;
- and
- monitoring at least one Paging Monitoring Occasion (PMO) of a specific PO in case that a specific sequence is indicated in the at least one LMO,
- wherein:
- the specific LO consists of one or more LMOs;
- the number of the one or more LMOs is determined according to the bit string related to SSB burst;
- and
- an n-th LMO in the specific LO is quasi-collocated with an n-th transmitted SSB.

- a parameter related to the number of Paging Occasions (POs);
- and
- a parameter related to the number of Paging Frames (PFs),
- determine a specific PF,
- determine a specific LP-WUS Occasion (LO) based on the specific PF and the one or more parameters related to offset to LO,
- monitor at least one LP-WUS Monitoring Occasion (LMO) of the specific LO, and
- monitor at least one Paging Monitoring Occasion (PMO) of a specific PO in case that a specific sequence is indicated in the at least one LMO,
- wherein:
- the specific LO consists of one or more LMOs;
- the number of the one or more LMOs is determined according to the bit string related to SSB burst;
