Abstract

Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable medium to perform operations including: generating a protocol data unit (PDU) burst comprising a set of frames, wherein the set of frames comprises a combination of one or more predictive frames (P-frames), one or more intra-coded frames (I-frames), or both; determining, based on the combination of P-frames, I-frames, or both, information indicating one or more characteristics of the PDU burst. The operations also include transmitting the information indicating the one or more characteristics of the PDU burst to a base station; and receiving, from the base station, a message indicating an allocation of an amount of network resources for the PDU burst.

A user equipment (UE) comprising:

one or more processors;
and
memory storing instructions that when executed by the one or more processors, cause the UE to perform operations comprising:
generating a protocol data unit (PDU) burst comprising a set of frames, wherein the set of frames comprises a combination of one or more predictive frames (P-frames), one or more intra-coded frames (I-frames), or both;
determining, based on the combination of P-frames, I-frames, or both, information indicating one or more characteristics of the PDU burst;
transmitting the information indicating the one or more characteristics of the PDU burst to a base station;
and
receiving, from the base station, a message indicating an allocation of an amount of network resources for the PDU burst.
