Recommended bit rate (rbr) medium access control (mac) control element (ce)

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• one or more memories, individually or in combination, having instructions;
• and
• one or more processors, individually or in combination, configured to execute the instructions and cause the apparatus to:
• output a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) for transmission, the MAC CE configured to indicate a first bit rate and at least one metric associated with:
• an indication of whether the first bit rate corresponds to a logical channel or a quality of service (QoS) flow, an identifier of a target logical channel or a target QoS flow that corresponds to the first bit rate, or an indication of whether the first bit rate corresponds to uplink communication or downlink communication;
• and
• communicate according to a second bit rate that is based on the first bit rate and the at least one metric.

A method for wireless communications at a wireless node, comprising:

• obtaining a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) configured to indicate a first bit rate and at least one metric associated with:
• an indication of whether the first bit rate corresponds to a logical channel or a quality of service (QoS) flow, an identifier of a target logical channel or a target QoS flow that corresponds to the first bit rate, or an indication of whether the first bit rate corresponds to uplink communication or downlink communication;
• and
• communicating according to a second bit rate that is based on the first bit rate and the at least one metric.
