Abstract
A receiver node of a telecommunications system comprises interface circuitry and processor circuitry. The interface circuitry is configured to receive packets over a radio interface from a transmitter node of the telecommunications system. The processor circuitry is configured to make a determination that a packet is an obsolete packet. Methods of operating such nodes are also provided.

A receiver node of a telecommunications system, the node comprising:
- interface circuitry configured to receive packets over a radio interface from a transmitter node of the telecommunications system;
- processor circuitry configured to make a determination that a packet is an obsolete packet.
A method in a receiver node of a telecommunications system, the method comprising:
- receiving packets over a radio interface from a transmitter node of the telecommunications system;
- making a determination that a packet is an obsolete packet.
