Wearable bluetooth speakers with clothing clip

A method of using a wearable audio system, the method comprising:

• attaching a first portable speaker device to a user's clothing below a first ear;
• attaching a second portable speaker device to the user's clothing below a second ear;
• wirelessly pairing the first and second portable speaker devices with an audio source device;
• receiving audio signals from the audio source device at the first and second portable speaker devices;
• and
• outputting audio content through speaker units of the first and second portable speaker devices.

A portable speaker device comprising:

• a housing having a front surface and a rear surface;
• a speaker unit disposed within the housing and configured to output audio through the front surface;
• a fastening clip attached to the rear surface of the housing and configured to removably secure the portable speaker device to a user's clothing;
• a wireless communication module disposed within the housing and configured to receive audio signals from an audio source device;
• a battery disposed within the housing and configured to power the portable speaker device;
• and
• control buttons disposed on the housing for controlling at least one function of the portable speaker device.
