Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter device may modulate a first set of bits into a first modulation symbol, selected from a first set of modulation points. The transmitter device may modulate a second set of bits into a second modulation symbol, selected from a second set of modulation points, where the first set of modulation points are a subset of the second set of modulation points.
