Abstract
A method of operating an audio system of a domestic appliance may include directing operation of the audio system. The method may include determining noise produced during operation of appliance components. The method may include implementing a responsive action at the audio system to adjust acoustic parameters of the audio system in response to determining noise produced during operation of appliance components.

A domestic appliance comprising:
- an audio system, the audio system comprising a speaker and a microphone;
- and
- a controller in operative communication with the audio system, the controller being configured to direct a responsive audio operation, the responsive audio operation comprising:
- directing operation of the audio system,
- determining noise produced during operation of appliance components, and
- implementing a responsive action at the audio system to adjust acoustic parameters of the audio system in response to determining noise produced during operation of appliance components.
