Controlling parameters of social gaming for wagering in a game streaming environment

A live streaming platform server comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• receive, from a remote game server operating with the streaming device, data determined by the remote game server in association with a play of a game displayed by a streaming device, wherein the play of the game is wagered on, via a client device, with an amount of fiat currency deducted from a fiat currency credit balance of the client device and the play of the game is wagered on, via the streaming device, with an amount of virtual currency deducted from a virtual currency credit balance of the streaming device, and
• following a communication of the data to the client device which results in a display device of the client device displaying the play of the game displayed by the streaming device, independent of any award associated with the play of the game wagered on with the amount of virtual currency and responsive to an occurrence of a virtual currency credit balance modification event, cause a modification of the virtual currency credit balance of the streaming device.
