A terminal device includes: a display unit that displays information; a movement information obtaining unit that obtains movement information indicating a movement performed by a person with respect to the display unit which displays the information; a confidentiality-indicating-movement detecting unit that, based on the movement information obtained by the movement information obtaining unit, detects whether or not a movement performed by the person with respect to the display unit represents a confidentiality indicating movement; and a confidential region processing unit that, when the confidentiality-indicating-movement detecting unit detects the confidentiality indicating movement, decides on a confidential region based on the movement information obtained by the movement information obtaining unit, and generates a confidential video based on the confidential region.
