Cartridge sealing and alignment in a pressure exchanger

A pressure exchanger comprising:

• a rotor configured to exchange pressure between a first fluid and a second fluid;
• a first end cover disposed at a first distal end of the rotor;
• a first seal ring disposed around the pressure exchanger, wherein the first seal ring covers a first end cover interface of the first end cover to prevent leakage;
• and
• a first pin comprising a first pin first distal end that is at least partially disposed in a seal ring recess formed in the first seal ring and a first pin second distal end disposed in a first end cover recess formed in the first end cover.

A pressure exchanger comprising:

• a rotor configured to exchange pressure between a first fluid and a second fluid;
• a sleeve disposed around the rotor;
• a first seal ring disposed around the pressure exchanger, wherein the first seal ring covers a first sleeve interface of the sleeve to prevent leakage;
• and
• a first pin comprising a first distal end that is at least partially disposed in a seal ring recess formed in the first seal ring and a second distal end disposed in a first sleeve recess formed in the sleeve.
