Abstract
A printer includes a head that is movable in a scanning direction and configured to eject a liquid onto a medium, a platen extending in the scanning direction to receive the medium placed at a position facing the head, a support extending in the scanning direction to support the platen, a restraint to restrain the platen with respect to the support while allowing sliding of the platen with respect to the support, and a slider interposed between the platen and the support and located at a different position from the restraint.

A printer comprising:
- a head that is movable in a scanning direction and configured to eject a liquid onto a medium;
- a platen extending in the scanning direction to receive the medium placed at a position facing the head;
- a support extending in the scanning direction to support the platen;
- a restraint to restrain the platen with respect to the support while allowing sliding of the platen with respect to the support;
- and
- a slider interposed between the platen and the support and located at a different position from the restraint.
