Abstract
The present disclosure relates to stabilized oral care compositions comprising amino acids and traditionally incompatible flavor components. Methods of making and use are further provided.
Claims14
An oral care composition comprising:
- a) an amino acid;
- b) a flavor oil comprising methyl salicylate;
- c) an abrasive or particulate;
- and
- d) an orally acceptable vehicle,
- wherein the composition has a pH of at least about 6.5, and
- wherein methyl salicylate is stabilized such that less than 50% of the methyl salicylate degrades after 6 weeks under accelerated aging conditions.
