Portable apparatus and system for indoor airborne pathogen control

A wall-integrated airborne pathogen control apparatus, comprising:

• a housing configured for installation within a wall and having a room-side discharge vent, an exterior-side fresh-air intake port, and an exterior-side exhaust port;
• a blower disposed in the housing and configured to move air from the fresh-air intake port through the housing to the room-side discharge vent;
• a filter disposed along the airflow path, the filter comprising a HEPA filter;
• at least one UV-C emitter and a cold-plasma generator disposed along the airflow path;
• a first motorized damper coupled to the fresh-air intake port and a second motorized damper coupled to the exhaust port;
• a pressure sensor configured to measure a pressure differential between the room and an adjacent space;
• and
• a controller operatively coupled to the blower and to the first and second motorized dampers and configured to modulate at least one of blower speed and damper positions to achieve a target pressure differential.

A wall-integrated airborne pathogen control apparatus, comprising:

• a housing configured for installation within an interior wall and having a room-side intake vent and a room-side discharge vent;
• a blower disposed in the housing and configured to draw air from the room-side intake vent through the housing and expel air via the room-side discharge vent;
• a filter disposed along the airflow path, the filter comprising a HEPA filter;
• at least one UV-C emitter and a cold-plasma generator disposed along the airflow path;
• a first motorized interior damper disposed upstream of the blower and a second motorized interior damper disposed downstream of the blower, each configured to regulate a respective flow opening to the room;
• a pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure differential between the room and an adjacent corridor;
• and
• a controller operatively coupled to the blower and to the first and second motorized interior dampers and configured to modulate at least one of blower speed and damper positions to selectively establish a positive-pressure mode or a negative-pressure mode for the room relative to the corridor.
