A method for inducing cellular immunity to infection by SARS-CoV-2 in a human subject, comprising:
- administering, as at least one intramuscular injection, DNA comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 1, 2, 3 or 4 or a portion thereof that encodes a SARS-CoV-2 receptor binding domain encoded thereby to the human subject,
- wherein the DNA encodes an S protein.
