Systems and methods for diabetes management

An analyte monitoring system, comprising:

• a reader device, comprising:
• a display;
• wireless communication circuitry configured to receive, from an on-body unit comprising an analyte sensor, a first type of data, and to receive, from a medication delivery device, a second type of data,
• wherein the first type of data comprises data indicative of an analyte level of the subject, and
• wherein the second type of data comprises medication dosing data;
• and
• one or more processors coupled to a memory, the memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
• determine if the second type of data received from the medication delivery device satisfies a minimum dosing data report condition for inclusion into a report, wherein the report comprises metrics based on the first type of data and dosing information based on the second type of data;
• generate the report if the received second type of data is determined to be sufficient;
• and
• display a message regarding the report.

An analyte monitoring system, comprising:

• a reader device, comprising:
• a display;
• wireless communication circuitry configured to receive, from an on-body unit comprising an analyte sensor, a first type of data, and to receive, from a medication delivery device, a second type of data,
• wherein the first type of data comprises data indicative of an analyte level of the subject, and
• wherein the second type of data comprises medication dosing data;
• and
• one or more processors coupled to a memory, the memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
• determine if a time period elapsed since receipt of the second type of data from the medication delivery device exceeds a threshold value;
• and
• display a message prompting a user to transfer the second type of data.
