Electronic device and method for registering external device using device information

An electronic device comprising:

• a display;
• communication circuitry;
• memory, comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled to the display, the communication circuitry, and the memory,
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to:
• receive, via a first communication connection established with a server using the communication circuitry, delivery information indicating a delivery state of an external device and external device information for identifying the external device,
• display, on the display, a graphic object indicating the external device corresponding to the external device information,
• provide a user interface (UI) for displaying information related to the external device based on a user input selecting the graphic object, wherein the information related to the external device includes the delivery state of the external device
• display a notification message indicating completion of a delivery of the external device on the display based on that the delivery of the external device has been completed
• detect the device based on searching a device corresponding to the external device information,
• establish a second communication connection with the external device, and
• transmit configuration information to the external device through the second communication connection.
