Electronic device and method for communication between distributed units in wireless communication system

An electronic device of a first distributed unit (DU), comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• memory storing instructions,
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to:
• transmit, to a second DU through a communication interface between the first DU and the second DU, a setup request message, and
• receive, from the second DU, a setup response message,
• wherein the setup request message includes at least one of identification information related to the first DU or cell information for each cell provided by the first DU, and
• wherein the setup response message includes at least one of identification information related to the second DU or cell information for each cell provided by the second DU.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing one or more computer programs including computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• transmitting, to a second distributed unit (DU), a setup request message through a communication interface between a first DU and the second DU;
• and
• receiving, from the second DU, a setup response message,
• wherein the setup request message includes at least one of identification information related to the first DU or cell information for each cell provided by the first DU, and
• wherein the setup response message includes at least one of identification information related to the second DU or address information related to the second DU.
