- receiving, by a computing device, information indicating an area of focus of a user viewing video content;
- detecting an object partially in the area of focus;
- and
- causing output of portions of the video content at different qualities, wherein:
- the area of focus is output at a first quality;
- a portion of the object, outside of the area of focus, is also output at the first quality;
- and
- remaining areas of the video content are output at a second quality lower than the first quality.

A method comprising:
- receiving, by a computing device, information indicating an area of focus of a user viewing a content stream, wherein the content stream includes audio content;
- causing output of portions of the audio content using different qualities, wherein:
- a portion of the audio content associated with the area of focus is output at a first quality;
- and
- a remaining portion of the audio content associated with an area outside the area of focus is output at a second quality lower than the first quality.

A system comprising:
- a computing device and a display,
- wherein the computing device comprises:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
- receive information indicating an area of focus of a user viewing video content;
- detect an object partially in the area of focus;
- and
- cause output, via the display, of portions of the video content at different qualities, wherein:
- the area of focus is output at a first quality;
- a portion of the object, outside of the area of focus, is also output at the first quality;
- and
- remaining areas of the video content are output at a second quality lower than the first quality, and
- wherein the display is configured to output the video content.
