Abstract
A method includes determining to send a data packet from a first transceiver to a second transceiver, the data packet configured according to a TCP, determining, at the first transceiver, to trigger the second transceiver to send an ACK packet according to a delayed ACK protocol, sending, from the first transceiver, the data packet with an additional packet responsive to determining the triggering of the ACK packet, and receiving, at the first transceiver, the ACK packet from the second transceiver responsive to the additional packet.
Claims20
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor cause the processor to:
- instruct a transceiver to transmit a first packet of a number of packets in a transmission burst;
- responsive to determining whether the number of packets in the transmission burst is even or odd, instruct the transceiver to transmit an additional packet in the transmission burst;
- and
- receive an acknowledgement (ACK) packet responsive to transmitting the additional packet.
A method comprising:
- transmitting, by an electronic device, a first packet of a number of packets in a transmission burst;
- responsive to determining whether the number of packets is even or odd, transmitting, by the electronic device, an additional packet in the transmission burst;
- and
- receiving, by the electronic device, an acknowledgement packet responsive to the additional packet.
An electronic device comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor core coupled to the transceiver, the at least one processor core configurable to:
- instruct the transceiver to transmit a first packet of a number of packets in a transmission burst;
- responsive to determining whether the number of packets is even or odd, instruct the transceiver to transmit an additional packet in the transmission burst;
- and
- receive, via the transceiver, an acknowledgement (ACK) packet responsive to transmitting the additional packet.
