Beam indication based on tci state group

A method, comprising:

• sending configuration information, wherein the configuration information indicates a first control resource set (CORESET) and a second CORESET;
• sending, via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE), information that indicates a first set of transmission configuration index (TCI) states and a second set of TCI states, wherein each of the first and second sets of TCI states comprises a respective first TCI state and a respective second TCI state;
• sending downlink control information (DCI) that indicates one of the first set of TCI states or the second set of TCI states;
• and
• sending physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signaling using one of the first CORESET or the second CORESET and one of the TCI states in the set of TCI states indicated in the DCI.

A method associated with a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:

• receiving configuration information, wherein the configuration information indicates a first control resource set (CORESET) and a second CORESET;
• receiving, via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE), information that indicates a first set of transmission configuration index (TCI) states and a second set of TCI states, wherein each of the first and second sets of TCI states comprises a respective first TCI state and a respective second TCI state;
• receiving downlink control information (DCI) that indicates one of the first set of TCI states or the second set of TCI states;
• and
• receiving physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signaling using one of the first CORESET or the second CORESET and one of the TCI states in the set of TCI states indicated in the DCI.
