A display device, comprising a display panel and a driving chip, wherein the driving chip is electrically connected to the display panel;

• the display panel comprises a display region provided with a plurality of pixel units, one pixel unit of the plurality of pixel units comprises n pixels, where n is an integer and n≥2;
• the driving chip drives the display panel to display according to grayscale information of the pixel unit in image data, a number of light-emitting pixels in the pixel unit during display is less than p, where p is an integer and 1≤p≤n, and p is a number of pixels with a non-zero grayscale in the grayscale information of the pixel unit, wherein
• when grayscale information of the pixel unit in the image data is a first grayscale, a number of light-emitting pixels in the pixel unit of the display panel during display is n1, and a brightness of at least one pixel is L1, where n1 is an integer and 1≤n1<n;
• when grayscale information of the pixel unit in the image data is a second grayscale, a number of light-emitting pixels in the pixel unit of the display panel during display is n2, and a brightness of at least one pixel is L2, where n2 is a positive integer and n2<n;
• and
• wherein the first grayscale is smaller than the second grayscale, and n1<n2 and L1<L2.
