Image display method, electronic device, and computer storage medium

An electronic device, comprising a display screen, a memory, a display driver integrated circuit, and one or more processors, wherein a plurality of applications are installed in the electronic device;

• the display screen, the memory, and the display driver integrated circuit are coupled to the processor;
• the memory stores one or more pieces of computer program code, and the computer program code comprises computer instructions;
• when the processor executes the computer instructions, the electronic device is enabled to perform:
• obtaining, by a display driver of the electronic device, a display frame rate of an application running in a foreground and a minimum refresh rate of the display screen;
• configuring, by the display driver, a first-type refresh rate queue for a display driver integrated circuit of the electronic device when the display frame rate is greater than the minimum refresh rate, wherein the first-type refresh rate queue comprises at least two refresh rates that are arranged from high to low, and each of the refresh rates is greater than or equal to the display frame rate and less than or equal to the minimum refresh rate;
• controlling, by the display driver, the display driver integrated circuit to refresh an image to the display screen based on a 1st refresh rate in the first-type refresh rate queue;
• and
• when a surface flinger of the electronic device does not send an image to the display driver, controlling, by the display driver based on a rank order of refresh rates in the first-type refresh rate queue, the display driver integrated circuit to refresh an image to the display screen based on a next refresh rate in the first-type refresh rate queue.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores a computer program, and when the computer program is executed by a processor of an electronic device, the electronic device is enabled to perform:

• obtaining, by a display driver of the electronic device, a display frame rate of an application running in a foreground and a minimum refresh rate of the display screen;
• configuring, by the display driver, a first-type refresh rate queue for a display driver integrated circuit of the electronic device when the display frame rate is greater than the minimum refresh rate, wherein the first-type refresh rate queue comprises at least two refresh rates that are arranged from high to low, and each of the refresh rates is greater than or equal to the display frame rate and less than or equal to the minimum refresh rate;
• controlling, by the display driver, the display driver integrated circuit to refresh an image to the display screen based on a 1st refresh rate in the first-type refresh rate queue;
• and
• when a surface flinger of the electronic device does not send an image to the display driver, controlling, by the display driver based on a rank order of refresh rates in the first-type refresh rate queue, the display driver integrated circuit to refresh an image to the display screen based on a next refresh rate in the first-type refresh rate queue.
