Systems and method for dynamic insertion of advertisements

A method comprising:

• identifying one or more objects in a media asset;
• identifying, from a specific object from the one or more objects, a plurality of points that constitutes a surface displayed in the media asset;
• determining information associated with the specific object, wherein the information comprises a type associated with the surface;
• selecting, based, at least in part, on the type associated with the surface and metadata associated with one or more advertisements, an advertisement for display in the media asset;
• and
• inserting the advertisement in the media asset comprising the specific object.

A system comprising:

• display circuitry configured to display a media asset;
• control circuitry configured to:
• identify one or more objects in a media asset;
• identify, from a specific object from the one or more objects, a plurality of points that constitutes a surface displayed in the media asset;
• determine information associated with the specific object, wherein the information comprises a type associated with the surface;
• select, based, at least in part, on the type associated with the surface and metadata associated with one or more advertisements, an advertisement for display in the media asset;
• and
• insert the advertisement in the media asset comprising the specific object.
