Abstract
A method of assessing anti-pruritic activity of a canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate is provided. The method includes determining whether there is a reduction in an observable feature associated with IL-31-mediated pruritus in a dog subsequent to administering the canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate to the dog.
Claims38
A method of assessing anti-pruritic activity of a canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate, the method comprising:
- determining whether there is a reduction in at least one observable feature associated with IL-31-mediated pruritus in a dog subsequent to administering the canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate to the dog.
A method of assessing anti-pruritic activity of a canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate in a dog with at least one observable feature associated with IL-31-mediated pruritus, the method comprising:
- measuring a pre-administration pruritic score for the at least one observable feature associated with IL-31-mediated pruritus in the dog;
- administering the canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate to the dog;
- measuring a post-administration pruritic score for the at least one observable feature associated with IL-31-mediated pruritus in the dog;
- and
- determining whether there is a reduction in the post-administration pruritic score as compared to the pre-administration pruritic score,
- wherein the canine anti-IL-31 antibody candidate has anti-pruritic activity if there is a reduction in the post-administration pruritic score as compared to the pre-administration pruritic score.
