Abstract
A main light and a secondary LED light for generation lumination of particular light characteristics in a particular direction. This includes an LED lighting fixture having a min light in a ceiling/wall lamp and a nightlight transmitting nightlight illumination along a ceiling. Downlights are disclosed having a main illumination source a secondary lumination source as a nightlight or some other illumination.
Claims29
A downlight comprising:
- a main light section including:
- a housing comprising a truncated conical section having a relatively wide forward portion and a relatively narrow rearward portion,
- a printed circuit board located in said housing, and
- an array of main light LEDs electrically connected with said printed circuit board for emitting main light illumination;
- a reflector including a reflecting surface located forwardly of said printed circuit board, wherein the reflecting surface reflects main light illumination emitted by said array of main light LEDs in a forward direction from the rearward portion toward the forward portion;
- and
- a nightlight section including:
- a support located proximal to or at a periphery of said housing, and
- a nightlight LED mounted on said support, wherein said nightlight LED emits nightlight illumination in a radial direction perpendicular to the forward direction.

A light fixture comprising:
- a housing, comprising:
- a forward portion and a rearward portion, and
- an annular forward ring extended outward from the forward portion in a radial direction;
- a main light assembly, comprising:
- an array of main light LEDs positioned within said housing, wherein said main light LEDs emit main light illumination in a forward direction from the rearward portion toward the forward portion, perpendicular to the radial direction;
- and
- a nightlight assembly, said nightlight assembly comprising:
- an LED supporting structure positioned proximal to or at an edge of said annular forward ring, and
- a nightlight LED mounted on said LED supporting structure, wherein said nightlight LED emits nightlight illumination.

A downlight comprising:
- a housing comprising:
- a forward portion,
- a rearward portion, and
- a surface ring assembly on the forward portion of said housing;
- a main light portion, comprising:
- a main light printed circuit board located in said housing, and
- an array of main light LEDs mounted on said main light printed circuit board, wherein the array of main light LEDs emit main light illumination;
- and
- a nightlight portion, comprising:
- a support located at or proximal to a periphery of said surface ring assembly of said housing, and
- a nightlight LED mounted on said support, wherein the nightlight LED emits nightlight illumination parallel to said surface ring assembly.

- a housing having a forward portion and a rearward portion;
- a main light LED attached to the housing, wherein the main light LED emits main light illumination from the downlight in a forward direction, from the rearward portion toward the forward portion;
- a nightlight LED attached to the housing, wherein the nightlight LED is located outward from the main light LED in a radial direction perpendicular to the forward direction, and emits nightlight illumination from the downlight in the radial direction;
- and
- a surface ring assembly extended outward from the housing in the radial direction, from a location along the housing forward of the nightlight LED.
