Communication Method for UWB and Related Product

A communication apparatus, comprising:

• a memory configured to store instructions;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the communication apparatus to:
• broadcast, to responders, an advertisement poll (ADV-POLL) message, to notify the responders that narrow-band assisted multi millisecond ultra-wideband (NBA-MMS UWB) ranging needs to be performed;
• receive, from each of the responders and in response to the ADV-POLL message, receive an advertisement response (ADV-RESP) message;
• broadcast, to the responders and in response to the ADV-RESP message, an advertising confirmation (ADV-CONF) message comprising first time offsets indicating first sending times of start-of-ranging (SOR) messages, wherein the first time offsets correspond to the responders one by one;
• and
• send, to each of the responders, one of the SOR messages corresponding to the responder, wherein each of the SOR messages comprises a second time offset indicating a second sending time of a poll message.

A computer program product comprising instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a communication apparatus to:

• broadcast, to responders, an advertisement poll (ADV-POLL) message to notify the responders that narrow-band assisted multi millisecond ultra-wideband (NBA-MMS UWB) ranging needs to be performed;
• receive, from each of the responders and in response to the ADV-POLL message, an advertisement response (ADV-RESP) message;
• broadcast, to the responders and in response to the ADV-RESP message, an advertising confirmation (ADV-CONF) message comprising first time offsets indicating first sending times of start-of-ranging (SOR) messages, wherein the first time offsets correspond to the responders one by one;
• and
• send, to each of the responders, one of the SOR messages corresponding to the responder, wherein each of the SOR messages comprises a second time offset indicating a second sending time of a poll message.
