Linear drive assembly

An apparatus, comprising:

• a power end assembly, comprising:
• a linear drive assembly, comprising:
• a connecting rod assembly configured to connect to a crankshaft;
• and
• a crosshead assembly configured to reciprocate within a crosshead guide, the crosshead assembly comprising:
• a crosshead having opposed front and rear ends joined by opposed first and second sides;
• in which the rear end faces the connecting rod assembly;
• and in which both the front and rear ends are closed;
• and
• a wrist pin situated at least partially within the crosshead assembly;
• in which at least a portion of the connecting rod assembly receives at least a portion of the wrist pin.

An apparatus, comprising:

• a crosshead configured to reciprocate within a crosshead guide of a power end assembly;
• a connecting rod assembly comprising a pair of linking elements situated adjacent the crosshead;
• a cylindrical component situated within the crosshead;
• and
• a wrist pin situated at least partially within the cylindrical component and at least partially within each of the linking elements;
• in which the crosshead comprises a through-bore formed therein, the through-bore receiving the cylindrical component.
