Abstract
A continuous in-line method for manufacturing a laminated packaging material web, comprising: ink-jet printing a décor layer on a paperboard layer; drying the décor layer by exposing the paperboard layer to infrared radiation and a flow of hot air; and laminating at least a further layer to the printed and creased paperboard layer.
Claims13
A continuous in-line method for manufacturing a laminated packaging material web (100), comprising:
- ink-jet printing a décor layer on a paperboard layer,
- drying the décor layer by exposing the paperboard layer to infrared radiation and a flow of hot air, and
- laminating at least a further layer to the printed paperboard layer.
A converting unit configured to manufacture a laminated packaging material web, comprising an ink-jet printer configured to print a décor layer on the paperboard layer, a drying station configured to dry the décor layer by exposing the paperboard layer to infrared radiation and a flow of hot air, and at least one lamination station configured to laminate at least a further layer to the printed paperboard layer.
