System for identifying a battery based on a color of a part of the battery

An apparatus, comprising:

• a battery;
• and
• a color-coded label affixed to the battery, the color-coded label being of a specific color range of a color spectrum implemented with a product portfolio of a company that has multiple product ranges and multiple products within each range, the specific color range of the label corresponding to one of the product ranges of the product portfolio.

A method for identifying a battery product range based on an indicating feature of a battery, the method comprising:

• obtaining an image of a color-coded label affixed to the battery, the color-coded label being of a specific color range of a color spectrum implemented with a product portfolio of a company that has multiple product ranges and multiple products within each range, the specific color range of the label corresponding to one of the product ranges of the product portfolio;
• evaluating the image to identify the one of the product ranges of the product portfolio.
