Abstract
A secondary battery may include an electrode assembly including a first electrode tab at an upper portion of the electrode assembly and a second electrode tab at a lower portion of the electrode assembly, a first insulating member on the upper portion of the electrode assembly, a second insulating member on the lower portion of the electrode assembly, and a retainer stretched in length and attached to a side surface of each of the electrode assembly, the first insulating member, and the second insulating member.

A secondary battery comprising:
- an electrode assembly comprising
- a first electrode tab at an upper portion of the electrode assembly, and
- a second electrode tab at a lower portion of the electrode assembly;
- a first insulating member on the upper portion of the electrode assembly;
- a second insulating member on the lower portion of the electrode assembly;
- and
- a retainer stretched in length and attached to a side surface of each of the electrode assembly, the first insulating member, and the second insulating member.
