Abstract
Provided is a backlight unit including a light assembly, a diffusion plate that emits incident light of the light assembly forward, and an optical sheet positioned on a front surface of the diffusion plate, wherein the diffusion plate includes a plurality of prism irregularities formed on the front surface thereof, and a plurality of bubbles positioned inside the diffusion plate.

A backlight unit comprising:
- a light assembly;
- a diffusion plate configured to emit incident light of the light assembly forward;
- and
- an optical sheet positioned on a front surface of the diffusion plate, wherein the diffusion plate includes:
- a plurality of prism irregularities formed on the front surface thereof;
- and
- a plurality of bubbles positioned inside the diffusion plate,
- wherein the bubbles have a size in a horizontal direction greater than a size in a thickness direction.

- a liquid crystal panel;

- a backlight unit configured to supply light from a rear surface of the liquid crystal panel,
- wherein the backlight unit includes:
- a light assembly;
- a diffusion plate configured to emit incident light of the light assembly forward;

- an optical sheet positioned on a front surface of the diffusion plate,
- wherein the diffusion plate includes:
- a plurality of prism irregularities formed on the front surface thereof;

- a plurality of bubbles positioned inside the diffusion plate,
- wherein the bubbles have a size in a horizontal direction greater than a size in a thickness direction.
