Methods and apparatus of enhanced counting schemes for candidates of enhanced pdcch transmission

A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

• receiving a configuration signaling of one or more search space sets for monitoring transmissions of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH);
• monitoring candidates of the PDCCH;
• and
• counting candidates of the PDCCH that are to be transmitted with a plurality of transmissions, based on a candidate counting scheme, wherein the candidates are linked with one another for transmissions of the PDCCH.

A network equipment (NE) for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the NE to:
• generate a configuration signaling of more search space sets for monitoring a plurality of transmissions for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein candidates of the PDCCH are linked with one another for a plurality of transmissions of the PDCCH;
• and
• transmit the configuration signaling and the candidates of the PDCCH.
