Electronic device for performing data communication, and operating method thereof

A method of operating an electronic device, the method comprising:

• configuring an NAN data path (NDP) for data communication, based on first scheduling information, with an external electronic device included in a neighbor awareness networking (NAN) cluster;
• storing information related to the NDP, based on switching to a low-power mode related to an NDP connection;
• maintaining synchronization with the external electronic device, based on second scheduling information different from the first scheduling information;
• and
• in a case of performing the data communication with the external electronic device, performing the data communication with the external electronic device through the NDP with the external electronic device, based on the information related to the NDP.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by at least one processor of an electronic device, cause the electronic device to perform operations comprising:

• configuring an NAN data path (NDP) for data communication, based on first scheduling information, with an external electronic device included in a neighbor awareness networking (NAN) cluster;
• storing information related to the NDP, based on switching to a low-power mode related to an NDP connection;
• maintaining synchronization with the external electronic device, based on second scheduling information different from the first scheduling information;
• and
• in a case of performing the data communication with the external electronic device, performing the data communication with the external electronic device through the NDP with the external electronic device, based on the information related to the NDP.
