A negative electrode composition is provided, including: a silicon-based active material; a conductive material; a binder; and a pH adjuster and having a pH of 5 or more and 7 or less, a negative electrode slurry including the same, a negative electrode, a lithium secondary battery, and a method for preparing the negative electrode composition.

A negative electrode composition comprising:
- a negative electrode active material comprising a silicon-based active material;
- a conductive material;
- a binder;
- and
- a pH adjuster,
- wherein a pH of the composition is 5 or more and 7 or less when measured at 25° C.
