Formulations of docetaxel

A method for preparing a pharmaceutical formulation comprising docetaxel, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and human serum albumin, the method comprising:

• (i) adding a first liquid composition comprising docetaxel, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and ethanol into an infusion bag or bottle containing a second aqueous composition comprising human serum albumin and a parenterally acceptable vehicle and (ii) inverting such infusion bag or bottle to obtain the pharmaceutical formulation;
• wherein the pharmaceutical formulation does not contain Polysorbate 80, and wherein the first liquid composition and the second aqueous composition are mixed in less than 24 hours prior to being infused or administered to patients.
