Abstract
A mechanism for determining a condition of a knife arrangement for a baler. A measure responsive to a torque for a drivetrain of the knife arrangement is processed to determine or predict the condition of the knife arrangement or a portion thereof.
Claims15
A computer-implemented method for generating knife condition information for a knife arrangement of a baler, wherein the knife arrangement is configured to process plant material received by the baler, the computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving at least one torque responsive measure, wherein each torque responsive measure is configured to change responsive to a change in a torque applied by a drivetrain for the knife arrangement of the baler;
- and
- processing the at least one torque responsive measure to produce knife condition information indicating a condition of the knife arrangement.
A processing system for generating knife condition information for a knife arrangement of a baler, wherein the knife arrangement is configured to process plant material received by the baler, the processing system being configured to:
- receive at least one torque responsive measure, wherein each torque responsive measure is configured to change responsive to a change in a torque applied by a drivetrain for the knife arrangement of the baler;
- and
- process the at least one torque responsive measure to produce knife condition information indicating a condition of the knife arrangement.
